"Bongo Cha Cha Cha" was released by Caterina Valente in 1959, written by Ernst Bader, Ralf Arnie and Werner Müller, and first performed by Valente with her brother Silvio Francesco in the film Du bist wunderbar. [1] The record's resurgence came when its Italian version was placed in the 2019 film Spider-Man: Far From Home, in the segment where Peter Parker and his schoolmates land in Venice. [2] In 2021 the song went viral on TikTok in a trend that gathered more than 250 million views, spreading first across Latin America and then into Italy and Germany. [3]
