Star-Lord's Zune
At the end of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Kraglin hands Peter Quill a Zune with three hundred songs on it. In June 2019 a Redditor called sunpope actually built the thing. Funk, soul, disco, classic rock. Nothing past 2008, which they broke four times. Forty thousand people upvoted it. It is a driving tape. Windows down, one long road, nobody else in the car. The four broken rules are the best of it, because that is what taste does to a rule. We reprint the list as posted, all 301 rows, and add where every record is from. David Bowie is Brixton. Thin Lizzy are Dublin. ABBA are Stockholm. Gloria Estefan was born in Havana. Widespread Panic are Athens, Georgia. A hundred and seventeen places in eight countries, and the globe flies to each one as the song comes round. All 301 play. Eighteen use the nearest upload where the list's edit is not on YouTube, and each review says so. Thirty-six makers still have no place. MusicBrainz has not answered yet. Every place here is MusicBrainz's answer or a signed call that says what it overrode.
